25Live Event Categories are used as a criterion to search for and report on events across all branches of the event structure, as well as identifying the Published Calendar placement for events. You may attach as many of the Event Categories that apply to each event. This allows sorting events out to related calendars, searches and reports.
Do not use the Academic Code Event Categories on events. Those semester codes are only in the system for academic classes that roll over from SIS. Using them on events conflicts with X25 data analytics, searching, and reporting.
