Employee Resources - MCCCD Video Conferencing


There are 3 steps to organizing a MCCCD Video Conference Bridge at SCC:

1) Schedule the IT-111 Conference Room with Video Conference equipment.

2) Schedule the MCCCD Video Conference Bridge or have instructions provided to you for participating in an Existing MCCCD Video Conference Bridge, and

3) Contact the SCC Media Center to coordinate staff assistance to operate the Video Conference equipment.

Complete steps as follows:

1)  Scheduling a location at SCC for a MCCCD Video Conference:

MCCCD Video Conference Bridge equipment is available for use in IT-111 Conference room only.  To participate in a MCCCD Video Conference Bridge at SCC you must first schedule the IT-111 Conference room. 

Use the online Event Request System to Check Availability of IT-111, and request to schedule the space.  Include the Video Conference Resource option in your event request. (See Resources listing below.)

Reservations are accepted on a first come first serve basis.  You will be notified of space confirmation by official Event Confirmation from the Facilities Scheduling office. 



2) If you are Participating in an Existing Video Conference Bridge:

Participation in an Existing Video Conference only requires reservation of the IT-111 Conference room.  Please submit requests to reserve the space no later than 3 business days in advance of the conference.


If you are Scheduling a MCCCD Video Conference Bridge[Room]:

To schedule a MCCCD Video Conferencing event click here. Use the "Sign In" link at the top right (use your MEID and password), then review the master calendar on the left for an open date and video conference bridge [room]. Available rooms are listed on the right.  If a bridge [room] is booked, you will see it listed in the Master Calendar.  Review the date that you want to hold your video conference then select one of the available bridges [rooms] on the right and click "Add New Event."  Fill in the required fields, marked with a red asterisk, and any other information you have available.  Once done, click on “OK” and your bridge [room] will be reserved.  Please click HERE for a tutorial walking you through the scheduling process.  For detailed documentation on how to use the video conference units, please click HERE. If you run into any technical challenges, please contact the Rio Salado College Technical Helpdesk (x78600) and they’ll find a support resource to assist you.



3)  Contact the SCC Media Center at 480-423-6652:

Upon receipt of the Event Confirmation and the Video Conference Bridge Confirmation, you will need to Contact the Media Center to coordinate staff assistance to operate the Video Conference equipment in the room.  Please allow as much advance notice to the Media Center as possible to allow for personnel to be scheduled for support of the conference.  Be sure to have the Event Confirmation number (for access to IT-111) and Video Conference Bridge number available (for link to the conference bridge) for the Media Center when calling, and during your event.
