Join Through To Do List

This guide provides an explanation of the steps to join a Cisco Webex Meeting in Canvas.

1. Log in to Canvas

2. Look at your To Do list in Canvas and click the link to the class meeting you want to attend. This will open the Canvas Calendar.

 

3. Click on the Join Meeting link in the Canvas Calendar event.

4. Click the Copy button, then click the Next button. Note: The Next button will not be highlighted and available to click until you have clicked Copy.

5. Click the Open Cisco Webex Meeting link to access the meeting.

6. Click the Join Meeting link to join the class meeting.

 

Join Through Cisco Webex Menu Link

Your instructor may use WebEx in Canvas to hold virtual online classroom sessions. This will allow a similar face to face style setting for in-person and hybrid classes. Please use the following steps to join a WebEx Classroom in Canvas.

1. Log in to Canvas

2. Navigate to your course

3. Click on Cisco WebEx in the course navigation

 4. Click on the green Join button when you are ready to join the virtual classroom
    Note: Some virtual classrooms may not be accessed until 5 minutes before the start time

5. WebEx will launch in a new tab

    Note: You may need to allow popups on your browser. See the guides below to allow popups

6. Click the green Join Meeting button

Note: Be sure to mute your mic before entering by clicking on the Mute Mic button

7. Click the Copy button, then click the Next button. Note: The Next button will not be highlighted and available to click until you have clicked Copy.

8. Click the Open Cisco Webex Meeting link to access the meeting.

9. Click the Join Meeting link to join the class meeting.

 

Scheduling Office Hours with Your Instructor

Your instructor may use WebEx in Canvas to hold office hours. Please use the following steps to join a WebEx Office Hours

1. Log in to Canvas

2. Navigate to your course

3. Click on Cisco WebEx in the course navigation

4. Click on the block you want to schedule a meeting time with your instructor

5. Click Confirm Meeting

6. You have now scheduled Office Hours with your instructor
